“Calling yourself ‘The UK's No.1 zine for underground music’ could set you up for an almighty fall. But if this metal-dominated creation isn't No.1 yet, it looks set to become one of the best at least. Put together almost single-handedly, you can't help but admire the amount of work that's gone into the in-depth and entertaining interviews here.”

(ROCK SOUND MAGAZINE)

“Besides Being printed in black and white, CRYPT is pretty much modelled on the professional metal press in terms of writing and design. While the front cover is, well, shite, most of the inner pages are laid out nicely. More importantly the writing is informed and investigative. The Haunted get their third UK cover story at least, however besides Mayhem and Zeenon, most of Crypt is dedicated to UK acts (Napalm Death, The Enchanted, Reign of Erebus, Skadic Curse, Indesinence).

“Most welcome is any venture outside music (features on Mötorhead artist Joe Petagno and extreme art venue The Horse Hospital). Best feature is easily the candid interview with Earth’s Dylan Carlson, spilling the beans on that ‘Kurt and Courtney’ appearance and that ’95 show. More highlights include cooking tips from Gorerotted, a six foot high sculpture made of chicken feet, and the rather telling fact that almost all UK bands ‘don’t feel part of the scene’, which really calls for a collective psychological evaluation.”

(TERRORIZER MAGAZINE)

“The newest underground mag to come out from these shores and a superb opening issue this is, featuring interviews with Forefather, Mayhem, The Haunted, Joe Petagno, Napalm Death, The Enchanted, Earth, Zeenon, Reign of Erebus, Prejudice, Gorerotted, Bal Sagoth, Antigone, Skaldic Curse, Indesinence, Brainchoke, The Horse Hospital plus reviews etc. 52 A4 black and white pages with a glossy black and white cover. Very professional looking and well written.”

(GOLDEN LAKE PRODUCTIONS)

“I liked it - I'm always glad when I can ‘hear’ myself in any interview that I've done. Applause for that and the magazine itself, I'm supportive all the way.”
